Itinerary
Monday We shall depart Warwick Road at 8:30am. A leisurely start, we will make a stop at the beautiful City of Chester for lunch and shopping. As we travel into North Wales we will be passing the ancient Victorian St Margaret’s Church known as the Marble Church so we will pause for photographs here before we arrive in Llandudno for around 4:00pm. Once settled in the hotel we will enjoy our evening meal.
Tuesday - After breakfast you have the day at leisure, you can visit the shops or enjoy Llandudno with a steady stroll to the Grade II listed Llandudno pier which at 2,295ft is the longest in Wales and the 5th longest in England.
Wednesday - After breakfast we will depart the hotel at approx 9:30am to visit Snowdonia National Park, at approx. 11am you can enjoy a ride on the train from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Portmadog. (included in price)
In the afternoon we will head to Portmeirion a village in Gwynedd Wales. Portmeirion is a hotel resort and a popular visitor attraction located on the coast of Snowdonia National Park .There is an admission charge upon entry which is not included and must be paid on the day.
We will then head back to the hotel for our evening meal.
Thursday - Depart hotel at 10am after breakfast. Travel on the Britannia Bridge over the Menai Straight where we visit Beaumaris. You have the option of visiting Beaumaris Castle built between 1295 & 1330 *discounted entry for English Heritage members* or just enjoy an amble through the village. We then visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyll which is the longest place name in the UK ‘The pool of the White Hazels’
After lunch we have an hour or so in Caernarfon before making our way back to the hotel for dinner.
Friday - After breakfast at appox 9:45am we will leave the beautiful seaside resort for our journey north. We will head to the Barton Grange Garden Centre with ample time for lunch and a relaxed look around. We will arrive Carlisle late afternoon.
The Evans Hotel is situated on the level, in a quiet position near the centre of Llandudno, about 400 yards from the Promenade. En-suite rooms including tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors.
We shall be staying on a half board basis (dinner, bed & breakfast)
